Hi, I’m ellie.
I’m Ellie, an artist based in Louisiana, originally from Arkansas. My work is rooted in the landscapes and environments I’ve grown up around—places that are often overlooked, but deeply felt when you spend time in them.
I’m drawn to the quieter side of nature: back roads, waterways, trees, animals, and the kind of scenes that don’t ask for attention but hold it anyway.
Much of my work is about capturing those moments—ones that might seem small or ordinary, but carry a sense of weight, memory, and connection when you slow down and look closely.
Growing up in the South shaped how I see the world. There’s a strong connection to land, to nature, and to a slower, more grounded way of living. My work reflects that—not as nostalgia, but as something still alive and worth paying attention to.
I work primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and linocut, focusing on texture, color, and building scenes that feel complete rather than fleeting.
Alongside original paintings, I also create prints and handmade goods to make the work more accessible, whether someone is collecting art or just wants to bring a small piece of it into their everyday life.
